Peterborough photographer, Andy Gutteridge, has been given a prestigious award at the Annual SWPP gala dinner held in London earlier this year.

‘The Societies of Photographers’ made Andy the 2019 Photographer of the Year in the ‘In Camera Artistry’ category.

His Image was chosen from hundreds of entries from around the world to take the top prize.

Andy was also runner-up in the ‘Sport’ category and was understandably pleased that the years efforts have not gone unnoticed.

“It’s a fantastic achievement to receive international recognition from your fellow peers” he said….. “The judges must have had a really difficult decision, given the quality of work on display during the final stages of the selection process”

On announcing the Award the Chairman of the selection panel said ….

“This beautifully sharp image is a well-timed capture and a fantastic representation of what can be achieved ‘in-camera’ and without any post-production or editing techniques being applied”
